The African American Center for Cultural Development announces the opening of an old fashion ‘coffee house’ from 6:00 to 8:00 PM every first and third Fridays beginning in January 2011. The main room of the Center will be set up with cafĂ© tables and chairs facing the stage on which performers “will do their thing” says Director Della Moore.
This is a fundraiser for the Center to help with upkeep like utilities. Everyone is invited. There will be a donation jar for a free will offering. The call is out for anyone who would like to sing or read or play an instrument to sign up for one of the slots (four performers each night) in front of a friendly audience.
Anyone interested in performing or simply volunteering to help, please contact the Center at aaccdofolean@gmail.com or 372 3577.
The African American Center for Cultural Development exists to value, promote and integrate the rich and diverse history and culture of the Southern Tier region of New York State through the celebration of the talents, lives and history of African Americans in the region. Please call Della Moore, Director of the Center, 372 3577 for more information or visit our website

RELAY FOR LIFE COMES TO OLEAN NEW YORK
The American Cancer Society;s Relay for Life is coming to Olean on Friday, June 18-Saturday June 19. The Relay for Life kick-off was the start to the American Cancer Society's season- long effort in creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and by fighting back.
Relay For Life is a unique volunteer-driven, community event that allows participants from all walks of life -including cancer survivors, families, friends, corporations, civic organizations, schools, religious groups, and concerned community members- to join together in the fight against cancer.
